Old Roar Road

The Old Roar Road project in Hastings, managed by Malci Construction, involved comprehensive groundworks for a two-level villa. This intricate project encompassed several critical stages to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of the development:

  • The project commenced with the installation of 12 meticulously planned piles, providing a robust foundation based on precise engineering drawings.
  • Following piling, the team expertly lowered ground levels and conducted blinding to prepare for subsequent structural enhancements.
  • The project included reinforcing and casting a lower-level slab that served as the base for constructing durable retaining walls, which were filled with concrete and allowed to cure properly.
  • Installation of pre-cast hollow core planks was carried out to support the upper levels, alongside the integration of an efficient first-floor foul drainage system.
  • The final phase involved additional reinforcement and concrete casting to complete the structure, adhering to the highest standards of construction and engineering.
  • To manage stormwater effectively, an attenuation tank was installed, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and reducing the impact on local drainage systems.
